JOIN US IN REWRITing
THE STORY
OF DISABILITY
We're on a mission to shape a better narrative of disability in Uganda, and we want you to join us! We accept volunteers at our field office in Jinja, Uganda who have a background in special education, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or speech and language therapy. Ekisa volunteers get the opportunity to be immersed in the culture of Uganda while working alongside inspiring Ugandans who are impacting their surrounding communities.
The therapy team at Ekisa is life changing, not just for the kids, but for their coworkers as well.
Noah Tucker, Physiotherapy Volunteer
The kids of course are the best! I love getting to see them explore and learn new things. Simon's big smile every morning makes it so great to go to work. I get to see such a wide range of needs, ages, and personalities all in one place and it has helped me grow as a teacher.
Rachel, Volunteer Teacher
